About
Deniz Aktosun is a UK senior accredited psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience working with individuals, couples, senior executives, and teams across the UK and Turkey. Her expertise focuses on stress and its impact on both individuals and relationships. Alongside her psychotherapy practice with individuals and couples, she has also provided consultancy to corporate management teams, family businesses, and professional sports organizations including the Turkish National Women’s Volleyball Team and BJK football and volleyball teams.
She began her corporate career in market research at Unilever Turkey, later holding marketing leadership roles across Russia, Romania, and the Eastern European region. After relocating to the UK in 2001, she completed her master’s degree at the prestigious Tavistock Centre and subsequently worked as a couples therapist at the Tavistock Centre. In 2005, she founded Reframe Counselling in Canary Wharf, London, which rapidly grew to three offices. There, she supported executives from international companies on challenges such as relationships, adaptation to change, performance, creativity, motivation, and returning to professional life following maternity.
Since returning to Turkey, Aktosun has continued her work in the same fields of expertise, offering psychotherapy with an in-depth approach that encompasses the personal, family, and professional dimensions of her clients’ lives. For clients in the business world, she provides a unique and comprehensive model of anxiety management tailored to the demands of executive life.
